The GaliGear Project is a team of, currently, four engineers who have decades of experience in new product development and bringing new products to market. All four engineers have full time positions at existing companies, but each wanted to expand his skills and creativity, try something new, and challenge himself in a different way.
Daniel Guerand, PE
CEO / GaliGear Inventor
Daniel Guerand is a mechanical engineer who graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. He came up with the idea of GaliGear in August of 2021. Gearbox design, astronomy, and new product development are his passions.
Eryk Zagorski
Chief Electrical Engineer
Eryk Zagorski is an electrical engineer who received his Bachelor of Science degree in computer engineering from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2020. PCB design, programming and anything involving microcontrollers is his bread and butter!
Jim wilkinson
New product introduction engineer
Jim received his Bachelor of Science degree in Plastics Engineering from Ferris State University in 1998. He has over 24 years of experience working on complex business machines. Jim’s hobbies include sports photography and creating things at the local makerspace.
